I have an infection over my right eye. Doctor gave me Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride Ophthalmic solution. He said I should when in awhile put some drops over my left eye but my left is unaffected so why should I have to?

Would it be o.k whenever I continue wearing contact lenses whenever my doctor stated my eyes were in good health based over the REGULAR eye exam?
