They need to do some REAL research. Asian countries have been using Circle lenses for a LONG TIME – Nothing wrong with that. I cannot believe they brought Michelle Phan into this, the reason why it looks SO big is because of the special effects from the make up – Eye lashes, White eye liner, etc. Circles lenses are JUST like regular lenses, they just increase the irises.

circle lenses were popular waaaaaaaaay before lady gaga’s music video.
This is as bad as the Toyota thing when the Department of Transportation did investigations and found only 1 case where the unintended acceleration problem caused an accident and rest were all due to Driver Error. Sensationalism and the media rules America. And it’s not like the FDA hasn’t approved any drugs or products that cause harm to people. There’s plenty the FDA approved and it ended up killing or hurting many people. I’d be more worried about some drug than circle lenses.
I’m pretty sure she used the circle lenses in conjunction with the computer generated effects. Like Michelle Phan showed. The hysteria over this is a bit sensationalized. The majority of the lenses are produced in South Korea and Japan. While there may not be too many regulations about the production of this, if you do your homework and buy from a big company or a reputable dealer, it’s not a big deal. I know plenty of people who wear them and they haven’t had any problems.

@JIHOJIJO wrong. circle lenses are not created in china. they’re made in japan or korea. those countries make the top brands. also J&J made by Americans. even if there’s a slightest chance that China ever made circle lenses, it’s probably some underground company nobody’s ever heard of. so that 90% of yours are most likely Japan and Korea
@VioletMoonFire it’s not that i am offended by something like this. i’ve lived in north america my whole life and really i’ve never heard anyone really say “oh i want eyes like lady gaga in bad romance” the whole circle lenses are dangerous thing is not true. there was this one doctor who said that because asians made them, that’s why it’s dangerous. dude, most contact lenses company are made in JAPAN by highly trained proffesionals. so why are these so different.
